Erica Courtney’s Red Carpet Preview

We were so excited to create florals for Erica Courtney “Drop Dead Gorgeous Red Carpet Preview”.

Erica has a special viewing for celebrities and stylists to show her latest Red Carpet worthy creations.  What I love about Erica’s jewelry is that it’s unique, creative and fabulous.

I love the way she constructs her necklaces. These Tahitian Pearls are not your mothers conservative pearls. Erica hand selects each pearl and designs them so they have movement and are alive. Super Sexy!

We snapped a few photos while they were setting up so please excuse the glass case glare.

you can click on the photo to get a better look at that  Drop Dead Gorgeous Jeweled Cuff.

I love this necklace it’s polished Labradorite with a platinum and diamond pendant.  The “flash” in the stone is known as “labradorescence, depending on the angle of light different green and blue tones appear. I love the combination of chunky mineral and refined diamond and platinum pendant. Super cool.

Thanks Erica! Any celebrity would be lucky to wear any one of these Drop Dead Gorgeous pieces.

Bridal Bouquet Viewing Party

Last week we had our first viewing party for the beautiful watercolor painting that artist, Teri Farrell-Gittins created for our bride, Juliet.

It was a lovely day in the garden.

Perfect timing!  Juliet ,a fashion makeup artist working New York, was in town for a few days and joined her family to view the beautiful work of art.
Teri also did a smaller piece, the groom’s boutonniere which Juliet also acquired.

We love the idea of  a watercolor painting of the groom’s boutonniere. Something wore on the most special day to be framed and placed on his desk or book

Terri also brought a new bouquet that is a work in progress as well as greeting cards of her rose paintings. These are available on her website.  Shootsandblooms.com

When you commission her to paint an original work of art of your bouquet, Teri can offer you thank you cards or professional copies made from the original.

Teri is working on a few of our brides bouquets as we speak,  which we know will make a special anniversary and holiday gifts.

Maria and Dayton at Vibiana

We are so excited to share the beautiful images Todd Johnson has captured for this gorgeous wedding. This was our first wedding at the new cathedral downtown, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

First of all, I have to say, that getting to know this family was a great pleasure and we have enjoyed our relationship so much, that we felt that it was our own sister walking down the aisle. The beautiful bride wore her mother’s lovely wedding gown and carried white Peonies and Stephanotis with a freshwater seed pearl accent to match the dress.

The bridesmaids wore strikingly vibrant purple gowns that set the tone for the whole wedding.

We created tall arching wisteria trees made from hundreds of hand-tied orchid stems for the bridal party to pass under.  While guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the courtyard of Vibiana, we put the finishing touches on the reception decor.

The tables were covered in lavender Peau de Soie linens and napkins with a floral appliqued organza overlay.  The long tables were set with tall crystal candelabras filled with dozens of lavender roses, hydrangeas and sweet peas.  Festooned down the center of the tables were garlands of Passionflower vine, gardenias and orchid sprays.

Round tables had a second style of centerpiece featuring the wisteria trees in the center.

The lighting started out as a warm candlelight and progressed in rich lavender colors as the evening continued .

The custom monogrammed round white dance floor was filled all night and made a beautiful setting for the father and bride dance.

Cake divas created a masterpiece inspired from our hand made pearlized paper flower arrangements that filled the niches.

We just love the wedding movie trailer that the very talented David Robbin produced.
