For those of you that are unaware of my studio work, before devoting myself to special events, I created flowers for over 60 films and 20 television shows.
Just recently, I was asked to fill in to set up a wedding scene for the new sitcom, New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel as Jess Day.
She’s an offbeat and adorable girl in her late 20s who, after a bad breakup, moves in with three single guys. Goofy, positive, vulnerable and honest to a fault, Jess has faith in people, even when she shouldn’t. Although she’s dorky and awkward, she’s comfortable in her own skin. More prone to friendships with women, she’s not used to hanging with the boys – especially at home.

Creating flowers for TV and film is challenging as you are asked to create flowers to back up the set and character of the story. Many times this is in conflict of what you would do for a private client.
I would tell you what the episode is about but, it is not uncommon for us not to know.

There have been many times while watching TV that I suddenly notice a floral arrangement that I have created.

Brad, I love your work, as you know and I also love the show NEW GIRL. I think she is adorable and I can’t wait to see the episode with your creations. I will shout out, “Those are Brad’s flowers!”, most likely scaring Paul and both cats!
Thanks Deb,
It was fun to be on the set for a day.
