Lindsay and Oren at Hotel Bel Air

This couple was a complete delight. The perfect weather for this outdoor ceremony allowed them to enjoy every second of their special day

A piece of antique lace from the mother of the bride’s wedding dress was fashioned into a collar around the  pale pink peony and cream spray rose nosegay

The bridesmaids bouquets were composed of semi-double peonies, white sage, white cyclamen flowers and foliage, Vendela roses and Dusty Miller.

Rose filled pendant vases were suspended from jasmine covered iron shepherd’s hooks

The gazebo was fashioned from California Pepper branches and White Dendrobium orchids for a natural blooming wisteria effect.

In Honor of Cinco de Mayo, the day of the wedding and a major holiday in Los Angeles, the cocktail hour started out with an all female Mariachi Band moving into lounge music later.

The centerpieces were a loose and casual collection of Hydrangeas, Viburnum, sweet peas, Ranunculus, Creme de la Creme and Vendela roses and blush and white peonies.

Each centerpiece was a different combination of these flowers.

A collar of gardenias adorned the Porto’s Wedding cake.

A warm romantic glow was created by the chocolate gels on the pinspots

Masha’s Surprise Totally 80’s Theme Birthday Party

We love when an adoring husband wants to throw a party for his wife.

We had a great time planning this fun party with Scott and it was a total surprise for his beautiful wife.

Masha thought she was stopping for a hamburger on their way to Vegas concert.

Instead she had 120 of her friends completely decked out in 80’s Fabulousness.

While the birthday girl changed into her costume, our Totally Radical staff served up the 80’s shots on neon trays.

Remember Tom Cruise in the movie, ‘Cocktail’?  Well, we had Lincoln and Vince, our flash bartenders doing their slick moves all night.

Shortly after, the birthday girl reappeared as one of the Robert Palmer girls and husband as Teen Wolf.

Masha’s model friends all came as the Robert Palmer girls. What a hot group of ladies!

DJ Craig kept the flashback in full gear in the part tent where multiple Madonna’s, Freddie Mercury and Top Guns danced the night away.

Love the heavy metal rocker and Madonna couple.

Orange Mokara orchids, purple Dendrobium orchids, pincushion protea and turquoise geometric shapes were arranged in frosted glass cubes on zebra print bar tabletops.

The completely insane 80’s designed cake was created by Joanie and Leigh’s Cakes.

Custom-made neon pieces by Heaven or Las Vegas were placed around the tent.

Our very talented friend, graphic artist, Brian Burchfield, created these Patrick Nagle inspired images from some of Masha’s photos from the covers of ‘213 Beverly Hills Magazine’. We made buttons and giant framed images to fill the tent.

The Carneys line was in full gear cranking out the hamburgers and hot dogs.

Carneys owner, John, and his wonderful staff took great care of us and helped to make this an unforgettable birthday.

Andy and Tímea’s Glamorous White Summer Wedding

We recently created a gorgeous wedding filled with wonderful details for Hollywood producer, Andy Vajna, of the Terminator franchise fame, and Tímea Palácsik.

The wedding took place on the grounds of the Banderas/Griffith Estate in Los Angeles.

Starting with an expansive lawn, the entire garden was transformed into an all white magical open-air ballroom.

Shades of white and ivory roses filled the aisle and wedding canopy.

Guests were greeted with a  floral trimmed lantern pathway.

Pre-ceremony cocktails were held on the raised garden patio.  Green grapes, Granny Smith Apples and Vendela roses spilled out of the three-tiered fountain.

Guests were called to their seats for the ceremony by the twenty piece orchestra.  The chairs were adorned with monogrammed cones filled with rose petals.

The bride  carried Vendela roses and blush colored Weber Parrot Tulips, her favorite.  Swarovski Crystals accented this nosegay bouquet tied together with a pale ivory silk cording.

In the European tradition, instead of bridesmaids, the bride had flower girls.

The flower girls carried spray roses and Dusty Miller trimmed petal baskets.

The bride walked down the aisle to the Wedding Processional from ‘The Sound of Music’

The canopy was backed in white organza with garlands of Murano glass beads and white Dendrobium orchid garlands.

The groom, also being a restaurateur, had very specific requests for the evenings menu.  While the guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers prepared by Bread and Butter Catering, we reconfigured the room for dinner and dancing.

Vendela roses, white Hydrangea, Majolica spray roses, Dendrobium orchids and gardenias were arranged around sprays of  little white lights. This created a firefly like feeling on this warm evening.

Sparkle organza sashes on the white slipper chairs surrounded La Tavola’s matte white sequin linen covered tables.

There was amazing star-studded entertainment on this night to remember. We wish much happiness to this special couple.

Robinson Garden Garden Tour 2014

We are very excited about next weeks project.  We are exhibiting for the Virginia Robinson Gardens Walk titled this year, ‘Pathway to Paradise’. We feel, it is exactly that.

Robinson Gardens Estate is a unique historic home, a cultural jewel that transports the visitor back to the birthplace of Beverly Hills. Built in 1911, it was once the residence of retail giants Virginia and Harry Robinson (of the Robinson department stores) and now occupies an illustrious place in history as the first luxury estate built in Beverly Hills. Located behind the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, the beautiful six-acre property contains a breathtaking display garden, mansion and pool pavilion.

As always, the Robinson Main House will be decorated by prominent florists and interior designers.

Every room is given a transformation involving color, style, and a bit of whimsy via floral arrangements and decor.

We feel so fortunate to be paired with the Grand Marshall, Hutton Wilkinson. He collaborated with the great American design icon, Tony Duquette, for decades. He has redesigned signature residences, and designed custom interiors, home furnishings, table top accessories, and one-of-a-kind fine jewelry for celebrities, other designers, and a veritable who’s who of worldwide clientele.

After an inspiring tour of Dawnridge and delicious lunch, we collaborated on a design to delight visitors to the gardens.

We will transform the covered patio into the Aviary Loggia complete with all the details that you have come to expect from this fantastic designer.

Here we are presenting our design to board member, Adrienne Horwitch at a beautiful breakfast reception.

This is the only day of the year the house is open to the public to raise funds for the preservation of this wonderful home and gardens. There are still some tickets available, so please join us and see what our collaborative  imagination has created.
